I got this lathe from a friend who has a shop full of old stuff. It has been theonly toll I've acquired so far that was working when I bought it! Sadly, I missed the fact that it was powered by a phase 3 motor, so, despite an inexpensive up front cost, I now have an additional $500 in it!
The tool works beautifully and came with a variety of cutters. Using the mechanism in the third photo, you can move the cutter in and out and right and left by cranking the two handles.
