I found this band saw in South New Jersey on Ebay. I bought it from the estate of an old cabinet maker. getting it from his basement to the second floor of my barn took some doing. I have replaced the tires and cleaned up and leveled the table. I am ready to use it except for some anxiety about lubrication. It came with a home-made self oiler that feeds two places on the main shaft, but I'm not sure how the oil feed works.
The only casting marks I have found were under the auxiliary table, reading "No 302". Jeff Joslin saw a close resemblance between this saw and the other saw under Silver. According to Jeff, Silver did not cast their name on many of their saws and often sold under other's labels. Looks a lot alike!
