I recently purchased this saw for the second time. The first time was from a gent in central Oregon who had just finished doing an excellent restoration on it and wanted to move on to another project. Later I became dissatisfied with the resaw capacity and sold it to a man up in Battleground. Then, when he found it lacking for resawing and posted it on craigslist, I purchased it back, now with some surface rust but otherwise intact. This time I plan to keep it setup with a narrow blade for cutting curves and thin material. Some time before my first time owning the saw someone did a very nice job of making interlocking MDF wheel-covers and blade guards. The saw is powered by an old and cool reversible 1 HP Dayton Master motor. The reversing is accomplished by moving a large lever on the unit.
Originality I had thought it was a Silver, through now I'm leaning towards Cowan.
