The illustration below is actually from a collection of engraver's samples found in a portfolio for the Gatchel & Manning Company of Philadelphia. The engraving is described as being an "excellent example of the use of color for illustrations of mechanical subjects. Engraved and printed in four colors by Gatchel & Manning, Philadelphia."
