Captured this little gem in the wild at an estate sale. The price was right. It had no chuck, a busted belt and a non-working motor. Added a Dayton 1/2 HP @ 1725 RPM, Model 5K116X., capacitor-start motor. Thermal protection, automatic reset. Unit came with a very heavy Dunlap one-half HP @ 1750 RPM capacitor-start motor.
Also added a chuck, new switch, line cords, chuck key holder and a cast-iron motor step pulley. Did a bunch of flap-sanding and wire brushing but this is a refurbishment, so far. I will shortly degrease it real good and give it a coat of Light Machinery Gray. I could paint it "Dunlap Blue" but I don't think I would respect myself in the morning. When I get my needle chipper/sandblaster I'll go for a restoration. Nice homemade, steel, machine stand came with it. Painted stand Stainless Steel metal-flake on the outside and Dark Machinery Gray on the inside.
