This is a No. 9 Saw table that I purchased in May of 2004 from Mike Burian in Iowa. The price was right on this machine and I could not turn it down, even though I had to figure out how to move it all the way to Tifton, GA. With the help of the OWWM "Underground Railroad" I was able to get her moved. First, Mike moved it to Kansas City, where it sat in an airplane hanger at Mike Danford's dads home until around Jan. of 2005 when Mike finally went to visit his dad and hauled it to his home in north Georgia. Next, in May of 2005, the saw took another trip to Columbus GA via Mike to a warehouse where another OWWM member was doing some work. I finally made a relatively short two hour drive over to pick her up and haul her home in mid May of 2005.

Restoration on this machine was relatively simple. Just took a good cleaning and re-painting. However, restoration was delayed due to the saw trunions accidentally not being shipped with the saw - which Mike Burian quickly sent my way via UPS. Then, when I finally got the missing parts, I went out of country for two weeks and then went on another business trip for another week - not much time for restoration. Then, in late July of 2005, I finally got her finished. All in all, she turned out pretty good.

I still need to find a suitable fence for the saw and then I hope to use it in my shop as a dedicated rip saw. That is when I get my new shop finished and have room for it. Until then, it will be carefully put away in a storage building along with a few other machines that I do not really room for right now...
