I bought this machine from a man who made his living woodworking. He sold the house where he had his shop, so he had no place to put his tools. I bought all of his tools in one lot. He had a Powermatic shaper and tablesaw, Craftsman tablesaw and two craftsman radial arm saws, and a Boice Crane Lathe. Needless to say, I now have a garage full of old tools to work on. He told me that he bought the shaper new in the early 80s from a local hardware store which is no longer in business. The cast iron motor mount on the shaper was broken and is at a machine shop being fixed right now. Like the tablesaw, the shaper needs some clean up too. I haven't decided if I'm going to repaint the tablesaw and shaper yet. I'll try to post more pictures when I get finished with it.
