Bought this very nice and almost complete scroll saw from the grandson of a man who built his own house in the 50s.
The paint is original but was a bit faded on the over arm. I just took it apart to make sure every thing was in good working condition, gave it a good bath, changed the oil in the driving box, waxed it and put it back together. Oh! It was driven by a 1hp Tamper motor turning counter clockwise (not suggested by the manufacturer).
I still need to find the right size pulley for the motor to match the 6" one on the drive.
Since she is for me and will not be for sale, I won't strip her down repaint and send her on the cat walk to be looked at by strange men ;-)
I've been looking for one like this for a while now so, it makes me very happy to have found her and present her to you.
