This engine is the only known 30 HP oil engine, few were made. It was shipped to Young Brothers and Ulrich in Zanesville Ohio in 1920. I tried to research the original buyers but found nothing so far. Its a complete running engine considered a Hot Bulb, you heat the cylinder head with a gas torch for about 20 minutes prior to starting. Its a 2 cycle with a 12 inch piston and 14 inch stroke. The engine and sub-base weigh just over 5 tons. It will see work again as we purchased it to power a 1910 J.A Fay and Eagan #184 molder. The picture is "as found" and has since been cleaned, oiled and new pickup chains made for the main crank bearings. Its a great runner. At 300 rpm it makes 30 HP and 545 pounds of torque.
