I bought this drill press from the Chevalier Drilling Co, Highgate Springs, Vermont about 15 years ago and have been using it ever since. The Chevalier Brothers remember their father buying this press used when they were young boys, as they had to clean it up and paint it. At some point before the Chevaliers bought it it was outfitted with a Chevrolet transmission and an 220 electric motor. I changed it over to 110 as I run my shop on a small generator. I generally use second gear.
