A friend had this lathe that was just taking up space in his garage and he offered it to me for a very reasonable price. I have owned it now for about 15 years.
The machine also has stickers from a machinery dealer in Southern California.
Alot of it is origional except the motor and a hand knob on the banjo. I also replaced the handwheel on the quill. The centers and faceplates were purchased from Rockwell Delta.
Another modification I have done is to attach plywood panels to the origional metal frame in order to stiffen it up.
Looking at the pictures makes me realize that the switch I have is a safety hazard if you were ever to accidentally turn it on. I will get a magnetic switch and relocate it out of the way.
