I have a MacGregor bandsaw and a slightly related Cant Bros lathe, so when I saw this advertised, I had to take a look. Also, I'd never seen a gap-bed lathe of this size for woodworking.
Its a very interesting lathe, looks like original v-belt pulleys under that bell, for a VERY large range of speeds. Looks extremely well built and it was tempting me. The idea of a 58" swing INBOARD is interesting. If I had room...and more money....

Manufactured by The MacGregor Gourlay Company Limited, Galt, Ontario, Canada in the 1920s.
-turns 58 inches inboard, 7 feet outboard (84 inches)
-16 inch gap
-sliding bed
