This was purchased new by my grandfather, passed to my father and now to me. We've kept this in great condition all these years. In 2005 the motor switch broke and I replaced it with a modern switch. The original switch, box and pull rod was lost unfortunately. I did keep the switch plate which had a simple on/off lettering. Recently I added the blade safety guard that matched the original (that was lost) that I remember as a kid. I believe this is a 1938 manufactured machine because of the patent number list. The last patent listed on the label was 2,122,966 which was issued July 5, 1938. The next one that was registered by Delta was 2,133,593 issued October 18, 1938. I feel that by January 1939, they would have updated the listing with the later patent number.
