Comments:
I came across this old buffer on Monday. I could not tell how big it was from the CL ad but I thought it was a very cool buffer. I thought it would be nice to have a buffer with the wide arms, but they don't seem to show up much in my normal hunting grounds. Not knowing anything about the maker of the buffer I went straight to the photo index to see what I could find out. After spending some time researching the company I found out that they have been around for over 100 years. But I could not find one other example like the buffer I was looking at. I decided that it was something that I would like to have so I sent out an email. The next day after not hearing anything from the seller I was assuming that it was already sold but I went ahead and sent another email. This time I got a response back with a contact number saying that he still had it. I made the call and after a short conversation I told the seller that I would take it. I met the seller Friday morning in Oakland, CA. about an hr. drive away. I was very pleased to see that it was in very nice shape. Although bigger and heavier than I was told by the seller it made it even cooler in my book. Not sure if bigger is better when it comes to buffers, but I sure thought it was cool.

I don't seem to see very many old large buffers. I could not find another one like this one so if anyone out there has any experience with any buffers like this I would love to hear what ever you have to say.

I am guessing that it was made in the 40s or 50s. I called the company and gave them the Model and serial numbers and they told me they would get any info they could on it and get back to me Monday.

Here's what I do know.
