This drill press was purchased many years ago at an auction of equipment at the former Buck's Furniture manufacturing plant in Clinton, MA. The bonnet has the Delta Milwaukee logo. Typical confusing Delta Milwaukee Rockwell labeling. The serial no. is 108-8438, Delta Power Tool Division, Rockwell Manufacturing Co., Milwaukee-1-Wisconsin. The motor plate shows Delta Rockwell, Rockwell Manufacturing Co., Delta Power Tool Division, Pittsburgh-8-Pennsylvania, Model no. 62-610. The motor is 1/2 h.p. 115/230 Volts, manufactured by Doerr Electric Corp. The press has a 6A 33 taper 1/2" Jacobs Chuck. I believe all of the press is original, except for the applied wooden handle. I mounted the press to a heavy storage cabinet/bench with casters for mobility and increased ergonomics and capacity. I use a hydraulic bottle jack under my MDF ply table (background) to ease adjustments.
