Circa 1950 Modern Tool Works, Toronto, Canada No. 2 Universal mill.

When the photos were taken, it had surface rust from recent exposure to elements but nothing that couldn't be cleaned up. Had been in a manufacture until a couple years ago. Machine was at one point rebuilt by Preston Rebuilt Machinery, Preston, Ontario (see label on one of the photos.

This model has a NMTB50 horizontal spindle and an optional universal vertical head attachment (sitting on the knee ways in pics) with NMTB30 spindle and parking arm.
Twelve spindle speeds 30-1000 RPM and twelve feeds speeds 0.5" to 25" per minute in X and Y and half those values in Z for the knee.
Rear working station controls is present although rare on this size of mill.
