Pictured is a Witherby, Rugg & Richardson morticing machine at the slater Mill historic sie in Pawtucket Road Island. Stay tuned for better photos. It was closing time and I was in a rush.

The Slater Mill is a must see for any enthusiast of water power, line shafting, or flat belt wood and metal working machinery. While not original to the site the collection of machinery is impressive. Once an important textile manufactory, several of the original buildings have been preserved and filled with pertinent collections. The machine shop is powered by a recreation of the original large waterwheel. Its design was determined through careful archaeological excavation. An impressive set up!
