Another free machine handed my way. This had been sitting in a local shop for 6 years or so unused and rusting. Entire quill drive assembly is missing. Depth gage is missing. Will order parts once I get through assessing the condition of everything.
Need to find tilting table.
Photos are after several hours of cleaning. Lots of steel wool and elbow grease.
12/2006. Long over due update. Spent about $200 to replace missing parts. Machine runs very true. Aligment to table is almost dead-on (checked with dial indicator).
After using this drill press for a while, I'm not impressed with the belt or belt tensioner arrangement. While serviceable. these appear to be engineering compromises to the demands of marketing :-(
