I bought this Index mill back in the early 90s when I was making uilleann bagpipes. It was the perfect size for my needs. This mill pretty basic with a vernier readout to measure table travel, and a mechanical drive for the table. It has a #9 B&S tapered spindle, which has never been a problem since collets are available both new and used. I added a drum switch to reverse the spindle rotation, and added indexing setups for locating purposes. The mill has a tilting head, which proved useful for getting it under a low beam to its present location. There is no serial # stamped in the machine that I can find.
