An early style 291 that came from Pulaski Furniture, Dublin, VA.

When the Pulaski Furniture Dublin plant closed in 2007, it had been owned by Ethan Allen for six or seven years.
They bought a lot of plants in the 2000's, for the brands, then closed them as they moved manufacturing to China.

The Dublin plant was huge and very modern.
Ethan Allen converted it to a warehouse and distribution center for Chinese made Ethan Allen brand furniture.
The Pulaski prototype shop, which was up behind the main plant, was converted into a repair shop for new imported furniture.
The plant manager figured that they would need to rebuild about 15% of all the incoming furniture.
It was that bad.

We fixed up this classic old stroke sander, made it complete, and sold it to Heirloom Furnishings in 2012.
