From the US Army at Letterkenny Army Base, Building 42, Chambersburg, PA in 1999
15 HP
4 knife
Ball Bearing
Wedge bed
7,000 lbs.
Heavy planer that always did very good work.
They are a completely unique design, having strange power and manual table raising methods - very unusual controls for a planer.
The 361 planers are smooth and quiet machines, probably owing to the great mass surrounding the cutter head and motor.

This planer never gave us any trouble, and ran for maybe 10 years, until it was replaced by a 36" wide 361.
