Comments:
Appears in 1949 Duro Metal Products Co. sales catalog as "No. V-3080 Bench Model Drill Press", but I haven't looked to see if there is a casting date anywhere on the machine. The motor appears to date within that time frame though I can't find much info on it, so I'm guessing it's likely the original motor installed.

I found it in the local classifieds and purchased for asking price of $80. Seller bought it from an uncle for $100 who had purchased it at an estate sale (don't know if locally). Included Sears Companion 1/3 hp motor, chuck key, pin spanner for the 1/2" Jacobs chuck, Craftsman steel angle vise, aluminum vise, and miscellaneous other stuff in a box.

Photos are as-purchased. Runs smoothly, though the belt is extremely loose and the power cord needs to be replaced due to disintegrating insulation. The bearings in the motor are very smooth and turn freely. The quill bearings are tight and no play noted. I need to clean up the old grease that has deteriorated to see if the return spring is intact (it feeds down smoothly, but is very tight even without the downfeed lock on).

Comments: Very clean DP. Everything is completely rust-free. Tables have no extra holes in them. Motor runs very smoothly.

Comments: Pristine badge. No scratches, missing fill, bends, or nicks. Appears to be original gray wrinkle paint on casting. All knobs, wheels, etc. appear to be intact.
