Comments:
I bought this treadle scroll saw as a conversation piece. When I actually tried to use it to cut veneer, the blade wobbled so badly that I couldn't follow a line. There are no guides or places to attach them. The mechanism is simplicity itself. The main shaft runs through holes in the frame under the table. On one end is a small pulley for the belt from the treadle pulley. On the other end of the shaft is a disc with a raised flat rim. A tapped hole near the perimeter of the disc accepts a machine screw which passes through a slot in the lower oak parallel arm. Thre two arms are held together at the back by two opposing eye bolts and the blade at the front.

The Cricket saws were apparently manufactured by Millers Falls for the home hobbyist market.
