Acquired in 1980 from a shop partially destroyed by fire, came with a 15 horse power 3 phase motor. Assisted by local machinist Harry Smith All bearing blocks were rebored and heavy brass bushings inserted, Spindles were turned and zirc fittings placed in oil tubes. Didn't recognize the irony of an H Smith working on a Hall and Brown Planer in those days. Took a 1968 240 ford motor and with the Help of My Uncle Elder Sims welded up the motor mounts gas tanks and clutch assembly in one weekend. Used this machine and saw mill lumber to build my present garage and add 1200 square feet to my home in 1985. Hauled to woods and covered in tarp until2013Engine was locked when I started refurbishing in 2013.
