This band saw was found by a friend who was working on the restoration of an old theater in San Francisco. It was destined for the dump when I was asked if I wanted it - free. Free is not always free, particularly when three of the four parts of the wheel enclosures were broken. The saw had obviously fallen over sometime in its long life. In addition to the broken castings, one of the two 6", 94 tooth gears was broken. To date I have been unable to replace it at a reasonable price, so in its place is a simple spacer on the bottom axle which reduces the speed options to 4 versus 8. The original geared motor came with the saw. It was in excellent shape. The top blade guide was trashed and the bottom guide was not original. I found an original top guide but am still looking forthe bottom guide.
