I was looking to buy my first mill and after a lot of research I knew I wanted a Bridgeport. I did not have a lot of space so a mill with a 9" x 32" table would fit the bill. I started searching the country and after a few months a Bridgeport M Head Mill became available in Sun City, Arizona. I contacted the person from the ad and before I knew it was heading to Arizona to pick up my mill. The mill was part of an estate but, came with a complete history of it's past. The mill was sold by Nasco Machinery Sales in Los Angeles, CA to Barnes-Hind Pharmaceuticles in Sunnyvale, CA where it was used in the mold shop. The 2nd owner was an engineer in the area who bought the mill to fabricate and modify race car parts. He moved it with him when he moved to the Phoenix area upon retiring and then it was purchased by myself and moved to Colorado. I began machining and found that I enjoyed the ability to manufacture my own parts as well as utilize the capability to repair the machines I restore. Earlier this year I had the opportunity to upgrade to another Bridgeport so I started the process of restoring the M Head machine for sale. The paint is color matched to the original color and has all new bearings, a VFD, DRO's and ER32 tooling. It has been purchased by a family that restores vintage tractors and will see use for many years to come.
