I bought this machine from a company in North Andover, MA a few months ago. It was missing a few minor parts and the acrylic white top was in terrible shape. No idea how they damaged the top, but it had missing chunks out of it. I contacted CR Onsrud, and spoke with Sam Morrison. He was extremely helpful. The top can be replaced if need be pretty easily. Take some large flat screwdrivers and drive them between the white and black plastic layers of the top. Work your way around and the white top will come off. I was lucky, mine came off in 1 piece. Use lacquer thinner to remove old dry contact cement from black plastic piece. I bought a new white acrylic piece from CR Onsurd. Apply new contact cement and glue the 2 plies together. Use a flush trimming bit on a router and ease the edge with a small round over bit and you're done. These machines are very heavy, about 1800 lbs. You need an air supply to operate them, as the belt tension, bearing lubrication, and pin/bit plunging function are all operated by air. Don't be taken back by the plastic top, these tops are deceivingly heavy, very high quality, and very nice to use.
