Comments:
I saw the drill in a scrap yard this morning. It's in bad shape, deep rust on the right side, the drill has been laying on the ground for years. The table, foot, crank and flywheel handle are missing. The 12" diameter crank gear has been welded many places, we can read "The Silver mfg. co Salem", and no.513 on a spoke. On the left side of the main frame reads "improved 1891", no. 3 and 512. The 16" diameter flywheel has three spokes, must be older. Drill to center of 16 inch circle. I didn't buy it not only because of the bad shape and missing parts but also for the high price they were asking.
