I acquired this lathe in eastern Ohio when I went to pick up my Greenlee 226 hollow chisel mortiser. The seller was a retired cabinetmaker in his late 80's, and had a number of interesting old machines. This lathe was setting outside under a tarp, and He took my $100 offer for it. I have the restoration of it mostly finished, though I still need to turn a countershaft pulley and put some pinstriping on it. I also need to turn the headstock around the right way (Doh!). An identical lathe is pictured in 1880's Porter advertisements. The total weight is something around 400lbs. The swing is 16", with 9ft between centers and a total length of 12ft 5 inches.
