I purchased the machine from a young man in North Highlands CA. He said it once belonged to his late grandfather who imigrated from Russia around the first world war. I kept it for a couple of months and lost interest in the restoration because of all the rusty cast iron. I sold it for what I paid to a friend at church. He found that the arbor pulley was slipping and stored it away in a shed. After a couple of years in storage my friend asked me if I had any more saws to trade. I traded him a 1970s era 10" saw for it. I started looking at it more closely and realized that it might have some collector value. The rest is history. Oh BTW a collector/Restorer bought it for 10x what I paid and made a coffee table out of it. Go figure....
