Comments: The shaft is original, but the step pulley was replaced at some point with the v-belt pulley and aluminum spacer.

Comments: Lathe was sold without the banjo. Found this one by chance on CL. What are the odds of finding original part for 150 year old lathe?

Comments: Brocken back bearing saddle was brased by the oldtimer mechanic here in town. All I had to do is to make it fit tight.

Comments: I had to squise the belt to prevent it from rubbing the inside of the ways. Conveyor rollers are from Macmastercarr. They are hollow and make a loud noise when spinn, but this is what I have for now. I'll make a solid body rollers later.

Comments: Ready to make shavings. Still have to do the switch. Maybe I'll do the "dead man" floor swich like I have on my drill press.

Comments: Making felting tool for my sister-in-law. I know I got to use drive center, but the taper is not a standard MT2, knuckle buster mechanic's chuck will do for now.
