Comments:
Bought the drill 4/8/2016. Couldn't find any name on it but it's a "Francis Reed Co." (Thanks to John Vannisselroy' informations and help). The number #16 is punched on the frame behind the dual speed lever and also on all gears. It has dual speed actionned by a small lever, the flywheel is 14" dia., the 1 1\8" spindle travel 2 1/2" and the table rest shaft is 1 3/4" dia.x 23" lg. Drill to the center of 11" circle. Greatest distance from table rest to spindle 21 3/4". Double gear has 50 teeth on the right side , on the bevel side 60 teeth on the outside and 28 on the inside. The top small bevel gear has 28 teeth and the bottom one 30. The gear on the flywheel shaft has 22 teeth, the feed wheel has 65 notches. Spindle bored for 1/2" shank.
The seller has dropped a gallon of red paint on it while painting is truck, I had no choice of sandblasting everything. I made a new wooden handle, repaired the feed arm the best I could without a model and I made a new feed arm dog. Works fine, I can mouve the feedwheel from 1 to 4 notches at the time.
