Comments:
This machine recently sold in New Zealand (not to me).
The manufacturer's tag is almost indecipherable (see 4th photo) - but if I read the sellers comments correctly it is NH 417, Test No.60845, which makes it a 1959 build. Certainly the aluminium handwheels suggest it's post ~1950, while the grey livery suggests pre-Bursgreen green (~1960s?).
According to the 1958 catalogue (on this site) it can grind blades up to 12" long. Longitudinal travel of table is 16"; transverse travel is 9 1/4". It can also grind circular saw blades from 8" to 18" diameter. The motor is 2hp. the machine weighs 13 1/4cwt (1512 lb).
It appears to have two grinding heads, and the catalogue states the grinding head swivels 240 degrees.
