This Unisaw was advertised in my local woodworking club's e-mail newsletter. The seller was housecleaning and among the items being sold was her grandfather's Unisaw. The price was $100. I bought it based on the picture. Since it had an original cast iron motor cover, an original locking Unisaw switch and a vented dust door with the logo, I knew that at worst, if the motor and works were trash I could sell parts [perish the thought] and get more than my money back. The saw table and extensions were heavily rusted, but the works and the cabinet were is very good shape. The motor is a 1.5 horsepower single phase bullet-end type. It too is in good shape cosmetically; however it has not been run yet. The pictures below are from the advertisement. The saw is now all apart and I will add the "after" pictures once the restoration is complete. Up-date - the saw now has an original Jet Lock fence and the motor runs beautifully without changing the bearings. I've cut wood now for the first time and the saw has virtually no vibration. The shop made mobile base was replaced with a modern and more stable one.
