This is the second machine I bought off of Ebay in 2010 the first one was a Marsh. The seller of that tool packed it in a card board box with packing peanuts only and arrived damaged, this tool is about 90lbs. 3 years later another tool became available and I paid extra to have the seller pack it in a plywood box fastened down not to move. I do need to mount a block below to protect the knives as they come down below the tool when you make a full cut. In 1926 Stanley acquired the Marsh tool co. of Rockford ILL. Missing the ruler and stop that would of been with the original tool that is an easy fix I still need to have the knives sharpened. This is marked STANLEY-MARSH NEW BRITAIN,CONN This tool has a steel pull lever not a wooden on like the marsh #1 see Manny Ringel's entry under MARSH
