Comments:

Direct drive lathe with early electric speed control. This has only a 1/2 hp motor (3 ph) despite the size, but runs almost silently and perfectly smoothly. Jamie Becker says he bought it a few years ago from the estate of a collector. The guy had 50 lathes among his 200 or so machines! Serial number is 17906. Jamie bought a second one of these with a shorter bed and has them arranged end-to-end giving him both a parts machine and a longer bed.
