This mitre machine or chopper is for sale at my local used tool dealer. He had asked me to find out what I could about it, since he knows I have a network of old machine info on the OWWM group. Thanks to Jeff McVey for identifying it. Jeff also mentioned that these machines were once sold by Oliver.

This machine came out of the shop of recently deceased hobbyist woodworker in Massachusetts. How he had acquired it is unknown. It seems to be in very good condition. The reddish color on some of the surfaces is not rust but mahogany sawdust.
