I started a dialog with Rob Morris on a Cresson Morris machine and ended up touring Rob's shop and meeting up with his father in law Joe Leaf. I snagged a couple of shots of Joe's machines - he has made some sawdust and filings in his day. Joe provided the following info
Porter-Cable Radial Arm Saw Speedmatic 10 Syracuse
This great Old saw was given to me in 1993 as a piece of rusty junk all frozen together. Only the saw motor had been stored inside.
Disassembly, cleaning, new guide bearings and refinishing has produced a workhorse with a 27" stroke. It has the same lift and tilt mechanism as the portable Speedmatic 10 saws and also lift and swing on the iron column. The lift crank turns a skewed scroll to lift the head.
The head housing bears the Porter-Cable name in the casting. A label plate on the saw motor, which doubles as a junction box cover, identifies it as a "Speedmatic Saw" by the "Porter-Cable Machine Co.", Syracuse, N.Y., U.S.A., serial 247G, type 10K. Two other identical label plates on the head and motor identify: Consolidated

Los Angeles, Calif. as the retail seller.
This is a factory "bench top" application of the "Speedmatic 10" portable saw. It has been in regular service since 1993.
Had a great visit with Joe. I was esp. impressed with the simple but very functional "clover leaf" attachment that holds the saw and them lets you loosen it to rotate the saw in 90 deg increments.
