Searching on craigslist I found this Delta VS 6" drill press about 15 min from me in Haddonfield NJ. PO owner and fellow OWWMer has a small work shop. Did a complete restore repaint and new bearings .Upgraded the switch and add the retirement light. Motor was in perfect running condition. Some time in its life the drill press fell over cracked the head housing around the spindle bearings and bent the spindle. some one did a bad job trying to weld a repair. this problem was found during the restore. Found a replacement head housing and spindle for $80 from fellow OWWMers. Could not have been able to restore and save this press without the members help. A new housing runs about $800 and spindle about $375. The PO offered to pay for all of the replacement parts. thanks Dave. The press is in like new condition now.
