Comments:
I acquired this from an individual in NW Ohio. He had purchased this and other print shop equipment from the Delta Atlas, a printing company in Delta, Ohio, and in business since the late 1800's. The person at the Atlas Printing company was the grandson of the founder of the paper, who bought this saw new. The saw was removed from service, and is in plug-n-play condition - with a little cleanup and lead-dust removal in order. The saw guard has been broken but well-repaired sometime in the past.

The Mercury M-7 model is described in company literature as an intermediate saw between the 'Ben Franklin' model, and the very popular 'Glider'. The Mercury does not have a sliding table, but instead relies on a very beefy miter / cross slide.

The saw came with one blade in the saw, and 9 other 'extra' blades that had been sharpened by the Automatic Saw Company in 1968, according to invoices with the blades, and apparently never used. The blade have two different arbor sizes ( 7/8 and approx. 2 1/4 ).

My plan is to clean it up and use it for small pieces.
