Comments:

The No. 6 is approximately the same size as the more common No. 1, but the gauges can be set over a much larger range - 45 to 135 vs. 45 to 90 degrees. It employs an ususual method of tensioning the gauges, too. Strings attach the gauges to small cylinders containing internal springs.

Both the No. 6 and No. 1 were eventually discontinued, but parts of each were employed in the design of the new No. 9, which was the last model of trimmer in production by Oliver
