Here is my Sprunger Brothers 6" Jointer, Model NJ6 P, sn: 72946. I bought it from my brothers' in-laws. It's marked with the Legioner, Indiana tag, so I figure it was made in the late 50's or early 60's.

As you can tell, the machine is in really good condition. The bearings were a bit rough, but to change them, I had to cut out the old shaft and make a new one. I have fitted it out with Amana Tools carbide knives, but still have the original knives stamped with the Legioner, IN markings. The original bearing were stamped "New Departure" and my bearing guy said that company has been out of business for about 40 years.

Since gentlemen never tell, I won't say what I paid for it.
