This is an "Advance No. 12" model drill press made by the Silver Manufacturing Company. I don't know the age of the machine. However, from what I learned on this site about Silver Manufacturing, and the fact that the machine is not electrically powered, my guess is the machine is pre-1930s. I acquired this machine from the garage of one of my mother's uncles, who passed away several years ago, and was a tool junkie. If anyone can provide me with any additional information about this machine, I would appreciate it.
