I had bought another saw from a guy, and noticed this old saw body just laying near by in the dirt, so asked if he would sell that too. $5 and it was mine, no stand, fence, miter or motor, just a skeleton. So I restored it, covered it up and sort of forgot about it. Later a buddy came into a saw and I bought the stand, motor, fence and miter off of him, and restored the rest of the parts. Found the Blade guard in a FREE box at a garage sale, restored it and it fit. Put 2 in locking casters on the stand and rolls effortless. So I don't know if all the parts I put together are actually for this saw or not; but I resuscitated it for someone else to enjoy. I still use the old "stand by" paint Rust-oleum, Charcoal Gray #7784 from Home Depot; it looks nice and I like the color. I still do the electrical systems the same on most of the machines I restore. Switch box on the front, Receptacle box on the back. Receptacle is controlled by the switch and the power cord is wired in the recept. box too. Just use a short cord on the motor, plug it in, and it is turned on and off by the switch. Simple and it works.
