Comments:
This is a Schellenbach metal lathe manufactured by The John Morris Foundry Co in approx 1904 (the open change gear helps to date this) although many folks say it was 1909. The Morris Foundry Co actually preceded the Morris Machine Tool Co. I purchased this lathe as salvage and it had many mechanical issues which I rectified. The tailstock was wore slap out and I gave it a major re-working. The headstock bearings had normal wear contributed to not having been oiled. This lathe can hold tenths all day long and I use it almost daily.
