I was looking for a 40C-L and I came across this saw on CL in Peoria, IL from fellow OWWM member. When I first picked it up I thought I had overbought, but now I am glad I purchased it. Complete tear down and rebuild. Replaced all bearings in saw and motor. Had to run separate 30 amp circuit to feed the saw and it was well worth it. purchased two new blades and build a dust collection shroud. Had to install a new Supco APR-5 Relay for the motor. The older start relay would cycle too many times on spin-down with a blade attached, there is no dynamic brake on this model. The induced current in the start winding would cause the relay to cycle.
