I submit this entrie for Gino Crousset, a vintage woodworking machinery lover. He bought this band saw from Clark Steamship of Montréal about 15 years ago, a compagnie where he was working at the time. Note the round corners of the table and the absence of the mitre gage groove. The lower wheel guard was also missing, see photo #5 (image posted by Pierre Lessard). That make me think the machine was built before 1950 (see 1950 catalog for differences). The bearings guide bracket is not original (see photo #4). Who would buy stuff from Germany during those years? Let me have some doubts about the serial number "512". A former employee * from Jos Coté told me there use to be an "S" for série or serial before the number. The numbers will follow up without the type of machine but, should have a certain value to have a serial number. Maybe the "5" punch as been mistaken with the "S" one ???
* François Lemieux, Thérèse' (Jos Coté' daughter)husband who has worked 50 years for Jos Coté. Hope I got it right and you understand.
