Purchased yesterday off of a CL ad for $100 from the grandson of the original purchaser, who used it to maintain his rental homes and apartment buildings. It's in fantastic shape overall: Beautiful ways,missing nothing except for the anti kickback pawl and arbor wrenches. All of the handles,dials,knobs and screws are in great shape. Legs are abit rusty on the bottom (minor surface). Motor is a 3/4 hp, 9amp frame 195: It is butter smooth and whisper quiet. Seller is a retired industrial electrician in his 60s. He said his great grandad, and grandad were machinists for the Montana Railroad, and Mare Island Naval Shipyard in Vallejo, Ca, respectively, and that we "always took fastidious carr of our tools." The machine looks much better than the photo. I plan a full teardown, cleaning, painting, néw motor and guide bearings...then sawdust time. Thanks to all the members here for the inspirational photos and published advise !
