This machine was offered on a local sell site. It was in a not too good condition and came with an untried 3 phase motor. The price however was good and so I bought it. HD shapers with all the doors and a fence are not easy to find here. The machine was totally stripped down. Getting the internals apart took quite a while as the rust was heavy. However the refurb was quite heartening as the machine was whole. The motor was a challenge and initially wired for 3 phase in WYE formation. By accessing the coil windings WYE point this was changed to Delta formation. This allowed the motor to now be changed to running on 220 volts with the addition of START and RUN capacitors and a control box which can be seen in the first picture. The motor runs quite smoothly in this configuration. A machine that was left too long and salvaged in the nick of time in my opinion.
