Purchased from Cragin Millwork in Chicago in November of 2004 for $800.00.
The paint appears to be original and is in decent condition.
Many hours were spent removing the motors and disassembling what was required to scrub and derust all the gibs and threads. As bought I could not move the trim saw or top cope head. Both cope motors were sent to Mills Electric in Hammond, IN to have the bearings replaced and to have the motor shafts reworked. The shafts were so badly scored from
not positioning the set screws on the flats. Scary! The top cope head had a crack in the casting and was repaired by Modern Machine in Dyer, In. The motors were manufactured by S.A. woods. The tenon motors are 1 1/2 H.P. and all others 1 H.P. All are three phase.
I had a local machinist build a phase convertor for $450.00.
I cleaned the entire machine and left the original paint and gave it a clear coat of lacquer.
It looks and runs great and I love it.
